After a wet start Friday morning, the skies cleared over Adcock Park for what turned out to be a great three days of junior baseball bringing a much needed economic boost to the region with 39 teams playing across the U10s, U12s & U14s age divisions (6-8 July).
Coasties U14s took out their age division winning Coasties Cup with six straight wins across the 3 days beating Cronulla Greys 9-3 in the final Sunday 8 July.
U14s Coasties scores were:
Game 1 Coasties beat Mustangs - 10-3
Game 2 Coasties beat Greater Western Blue 7-0
Game 3 Coasties beat Illawarra 6-5
Game 4 Coasties beat Macarthur 7-2
Game 5 Coasties beat Cronulla White 5-4
Game 6 (and tournament final) Coasties beat Cronulla Grey 9-3
There were 16 teams in the U14s division spit into two pools (A&B) playing 6 games across the 3-day event.

Coasties U12s team came third in their pool with Cronulla Grey taking out Coasties Cup for this age division winning 8-2 against Ryde White in the final.
Central Coast representative teams from U10s up to U18s now go on to play in the NSW Country Championships next weekend in Wollongong. This is a 3 day event Friday 13 to Sunday 15 July. Coasties will be playing against Newcastle and Illawarra teams. Scouts will be at this event looking for players to trial for the NSW state team for next year's nationals.
