I reckon you can find at least one mistake on every bill - not a great way to make money

10/02/2010

Tell you what - Optus are slowly following in Telstra's footsteps!

10/02/2010

They are all the same! I was with westnet & being ripped off big time so I told them to stick it....... & then they tried charging me a disconnect fee of over $300 when i'm not even on a contract anymore!!!!!

12/02/2010

My Optus home phone has been not working more than it works and when i ring Optus they just blame Telstra. It's a complete joke.

they sure are!, vodafone arnt much better either

16/02/2010

I will never give Optus a scond chance after the way I was treated with several services! and I know of people not having services for weeks becuase optus didn't put in the paper work to telstra and even optus loseing some ones phone number and haveing it given to some one else.

Telstra have their issues but you can rely on their mistakes! and normally it only takes a call or two to have them fixed up!

good phrase to rember is:
"Can I talk to the team leader please!"

Hey just got my gas bill in the uk £182.21 thats from nov-march, how cold is that ??

13/03/2010

I just got my phone/internet connected with a new provider, I took advantage of a deal(free connection, free modem, cap etc) & then received a bill for $478 for a month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had been charged
$60 for conection
$250 for a modem
$140 for the cap(instead of $90)
$10 for delivery
I was not happy!!!!!!!!!!!!

I rang the idiots & told them my concerns, & shock horror I WAS RIGHT! They reduced my bill to $157!
Thats an over charge of $321!!!!!!!!! & they thought they could get away with it.

All I can say is check your bill.

VODAFONE suck big time.

Zero customer service,shonky shops.
When my agreement is over I'm gone, from those lying barstewards.

19/03/2010

telstra have to be the most shonky i wanted to get broadband internet but had to get sattelite connection because the phone lines in my area are still on what thay call a paried line and testra would not upgrade the lines because i dont deal with them i use AAPT

20/03/2010

i signed up for an optus $59 capped plan, my phone bills were over $80. what a joke

They are all the same. I had my phone with 3, lost it and organised a replacement through 3. They lost and tried to charge me "because it left their warehouse fine". Hmmm

Now with Hell$tra and even if I breathe on the phone I get charged. They certainly know how to empty out your pockets.

I will never go with Optus, looks like yodafone is all that's left *sigh*

How's this?
My flash mobile started having battery issues, it got to the point where it would turn off (from fully charged) after one phone call. I bought a new battery for it and it was exactly the same.
I put the phone in for repair as it was still under warranty. 5 weeks later it was back and all they had done was put a new batter in it and they managed to lose the back of the phone...
another 7 weeks have passed and they are unable to find the back or even to obtain a replacement back for it.
It has been over 3 months in total (paying $115/mth) siince I last saw my phone. Their solution is that I can have a REDUCTION on the cost of upgrading to a NEW contract.

There all about the same, having been with Telstra for 27 yrs & when I had a problem after having to debate it, it would be just sorry & thats it. I switched to Optus fusion Pack & had two probs in two months that were fixed & both times I was given a $20 credit for my trouble. As for breakdowns. Telstra was working on the lines outside my house, when they finished I had no internet & someone elses phone number, when I called & told them what their employee had done I was told as I was an optus customer I would have to call them to sort it out. Now thats passing the buck & I now hate Telstra with a passion. Now for those of you who are thinking of leaving Telstra & transfering your services over to another telco, make sure if you have broadband & a dial up backup service, that beside saying you want to transfer you home phone & DSL, you must also cancel your dial up or you will still have to pay for it.

20/10/2010

Should try AAPT! Took me the whole day to just tell them that I didn't want the new contract they had put me into and I was still within the 19 days "cooling off period". Not only don't you understand A WORD of what they say (they're in Manilla!), even they don't know what they're talking about. They just want to make money no matter what! And so they try to lock you into a contract because then you can run but you can't hide!!

I have an issue with being charged $1.50 to receive my bill in the mail.
As far as I'm concerned if they want me to pay it's only reasonable they send me a bill. I shouldn't be charged extra for Optus's lack of forsight into the costs involved in mailing bills out. It's gisgusting that they charge a $1.50 for a stamp and 2-3 pieces of paper.
They have no shame... and will try anything to take your cash.

I just joined Virgin mobile 3 months ago. They gave me a samsung galaxy which I LOVE! on a 49$ cap, with 100$ credit on my bill for ordering on line, 3 months late I get my first bill for 25$! Im totally stoked, after having been screwed over by Telstra, optus, and vodafone in the last 4 years...
I have no problem reccomending them!

....
NOT!! YOU GUYS HAVEN'T DISCOVERED IINET YET! A small group that originated in WA, now spreading Oz-wide.
I've been with them for over 7yrs now... STILL HAPPY!! I don't pay more than $160 pmonth, ANY month, for a deal which includes, wait 4 it... homefone, mobile AND INTERNET CONNECTION!! I get FREE LOCAL &NATIONAL CALLS from VOIP ALSO! LIFES GREAT with THIS Mob!!!

I do agree that Telco's are a joke however just remember this fact. There is only 1 telco in australia that you can use and actually have and that is the bulk of your money stay her in the country and actually have it invested back into the infastructure TELSTRA which by the way is australian owned.

01/02/2011

I tried '3' but had no service on Central Coast that covered more than a few towns, then Vodaphone, but over 12 'drop-outs' per call while on the F-3 (used 'hands-free'!), and AAPT, but crappy range, ane even 'Virgin' but smae problem, and all the above had crap broadband speeds.
Telstra charge craps, but.... speed is best, and coverage is everywhere (even tamworth, Gympie, F-3 etc where all the others failed) so you get what you pay for...(though it's a cent a minute in Asia etc so rates are high in order to pay bribes to government officials, same as the pharmaceutical companies charge exoprbitant rates for their killer medications)
