Packed to the Rafters is officially coming back to our screens in 2020.

Returning via Amazon Prime Video, the reboot will pick up six years after the original series ended and will be available for viewing in 200 countries – including Australia of course.

Produced by Seven Studios, the reboot will include original case members Jessica Marais (Rachel), Rebecca Gibney (Julie), Erik Thomson (Dave), Hugh Sheridan (Ben), Angus McLaren (Nathan), Michael Caton (Ted Taylor) and George Houvardas (Nick Karandonis).

“Dave and Julie have created a new life in the country with the youngest daughter Ruby,” the Amazon synopsis explains.

“The older Rafter children face new challenges and Grandpa Ted struggles to find his place.

The series will also see the return of creator and writer of the original series, Bevan Lee, so it should have a similar sound and feel (unlike some reboots that shall not be named).
