Kate Middleton is self-isolating, after coming into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a spokesperson for Kensington Palace, the mother-of-three is “not experiencing any symptoms”, but will self-isolate in line with the UK government’s coronavirus guidelines.

“Her Royal Highness is not experiencing any symptoms, but is following all relevant government guidelines and is self-isolating at home,” the representative said.

The Duchess of Cambridge was last seen in public attending the Wimbledon tennis tournament on Friday (July 1), where she toured the sporting venue meeting staff and sat with former tennis star Tim Henman to watch Jamie Murray play in the doubles.

A patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, she is now likely to miss the men’s and women’s finals this weekend.

The Royal had was also due to attend a service in celebration of the NHS’s 73rd anniversary at London’s St. Paul’s Cathedral yesterday.

Her husband Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, contracted COVID-19 last year.
