P!NK has been forced to cancel her performance for tonight, Tuesday 7th August, at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena.
The ‘What About Us’ singer was reportedly admitted to hosptial on Sunday night and was treated and discharged only to be readmitted on Monday and diagnosed with a gastric virus.
The statement reads:
“On medical advice P!NK’s performance scheduled for tonight (Tuesday, August 7) at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena has been postponed. Pink was admitted to St. Vincents Hospital in Sydney on Sunday night, suffering from dehydration. She was treated and discharged.
“She was readmitted to hospital on Monday and diagnosed with a gastric virus. On medical advice Pink remained in hospital overnight, continuing her treatment and recovery. She will be reassessed by her doctors today. A further announcement will be made when an update becomes available.”
It is unknown if further shows, will be affected.
The news comes after the singer cancelled her Monday and Friday shows also due to illness.
On Friday, P!nk took to Twitter to announce the postponed show:
“Hi my Sydney friends. It is with great frustration that I bring you this news:( “Friday’s show will be postponed. I was hoping a couple of days of rest would help me kick this sick, but not at the speed I was hoping for.
“I appreciate your well wishes and understanding + I’m sorry.”
