The royal wedding is upon us – and here are all the details you need to make sure you don’t miss one fairytale second!
What time is the Royal wedding?
The actual wedding service for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will start at 9:00pm AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time) on Saturday, May 19. The local time at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle will be midday.
Here’s your full royal arrival timeline:
6:00pm AEST (9:00am local time): Firt wedding guests arrive.
6:30pm-8:00pm AEST (9:30am-11am local time): Main wedding guests arrive.
8:45pm AEST (11:45am local time): Prince Harry and Prince William arrive.
8:55pm AEST (11:55am local time): Queen Elizabeth arrives.
8:59pm AEST (11:59am local time): Meghan Markle arrives.
9:00pm AEST (midday local time): Wedding service commences.
0:00pm AEST (1:00pm local time): Wedding service concludes, Meghan and Harry speak to charity representatives, leave chapel.
From 11:00pm AEST (2:00pm local time): First reception at St. George’s Hall commences. All 600 wedding guests are expected to attend.
From 4:00am, Sunday AEST (7:00pm local time): Second reception at Frogmore House commences. This party is limited to 200 guests.
When and where can I watch the wedding service?
Your royal viewing destination is ABC or ABC News – you can also live stream via ABC iview. The coverage will be hosted by Annabel Crabb and Jeremy Fernandez, with live crosses to ABC correspondents Lisa Millar and James Glenday at Windsor Castle.
Live coverage of the event on all three channels will start at 7.30pm EST in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, ACT and Tasmania.
If you live in South Australia or the Northern Territory: your ABC live coverage starts at 7:30pm ACST and on ABC News and ABC iview from 7:00pm ACST.
Western Australia: ABC News and ABC iview live coverage kicks off from 5:30pm AWST and then on ABC from 7:00pm AWST.
