Lillypilly Loop Trail ǀ 3.5km loop ǀ Wyrrabalong National Park

An easy and relaxing walk, the Lillypilly Loop, is perfect for hiking beginners. The track winds through the rainforest, and treats you to magnificent birdwatching and scenic views over Tuggerah Lakes.

STARTING POINT: Wilfred Barnett Drive Carpark

TIME TO GET THERE: From Wyong – 25mins, From Gosford – 35 mins 

LENGTH: 3.5km loop

Red Gum Trail ǀ 3.4km loop ǀ Wyrrabalong National Park

Hidden under a red gum forest, this easy walk will take you past banksia trees, flannel flowers, and beautiful vines hanging down from the branches. Plus, it’s close to Pelican Beach for a quick dip after your walk!

STARTING POINT: Burrawang Picnic Area

Maitland Bay Track ǀ 2km return ǀ Bouddi National Park

While this track might only be one kilometre each way, it’s a tough one as the walk is very steep. It winds down from the Maitland Bay Info Centre to the stunning Maitland Bay.

STARTING POINT: Maitland Bay Information Centre 

TIME TO GET THERE: From Wyong – 50 mins, From Gosford – 30 mins   

LENGTH: 2km return

Box Head Track ǀ 3.1km return ǀ Bouddi National Park

The beautiful Box Head Track sits along the parks southern ridge and therefore offers up picturesque views of the Tasman Sea and Hawkesbury River. The short track is a mix of rugged bushland and wide-open heath. 

STARTING POINT: End of Hawke Head Drive 

TIME TO GET THERE: From Wyong – 50 mins , From Gosford – 30 mins 

LENGTH: 3.1km return

AVERAGE TIME: 45min – 1hr 15min

Bullimah Spur Track ǀ 2.4km return ǀ Bouddi National Park

This track is of a medium difficulty to trek upon but rewards you with views of Maitland Bay, Putty Beach, Tallow Beach, Lion Island and even see to Sydney!

STARTING POINT: Maitland Bay Information Centre

TIME TO GET THERE: From Wyong – 50 mins , From Gosford – 30 mins     

LENGTH: 2.4km return

AVERAGE TIME: 15min – 45min

The Coast Walking Track ǀ 3km one way ǀ Wyrrabalong National Park

This track winds along cliff tops, past beautiful Aussie flora, and near some of the most spectacular views of the Coast. This 3km stretch (6km if you choose to do the loop) sets off from Bateau Bay picnic area, and is perfect for winter whale watching.

STARTING POINT: Bateau Bay picnic area

LENGTH: 3km one way

Flannel Flower Walking Track ǀ 2.9km return ǀ Bouddi National Park

Meandering through angophora forest and red gum trees, this track will teach you all you need to know about nature! The short and relatively easy track runs from Tallow Beach to Lobster Beach, giving you plenty of peaks of the Coast.

Daleys Point Walking Track ǀ 3.2km return ǀ Bouddi National Park

Take in the beauty of nature and the uniqueness of aboriginal culture on this stunning walking track. The track leads to Daleys Point Aboriginal Site where you’ll see heaps of aboriginal carvings.

STARTING POINT: Top of Wards Hill Road

TIME TO GET THERE: From Wyong – 45 mins , From Gosford – 25 mins     

LENGTH: 3.2km return

AVERAGE TIME: 45min – 1hr 15min

Girrakool Loop Track ǀ 2km loop ǀ Brisbane Water National Park

This track only takes about 30 minutes to complete, but boy – does it fit a lot in during that time! There’s beautiful bushland, an Aboriginal rock engraving site, and a few waterfalls to see!

STARTING POINT: Girrakool picnic area

TIME TO GET THERE: From Wyong – 25mins, From Gosford – 15 mins

LENGTH: 2km loop

AVERAGE TIME: 30mins – 1hr

COST: Park entry fees apply – $8 per vehicle per day

 

Mount Bouddi Walking Track ǀ 2.4km return ǀ Bouddi National Park

This is a must do hike on the Central Coast! Starting at Mount Bouddi picnic area, this walking track takes you through beautiful bushland with breath-taking coastal views. Plus, if you’re still energised, this track links up with Bouddi Coastal Walk and the Maitland Bay track.

STARTING POINT: End of Hawke Head Drive 

TIME TO GET THERE: From Wyong – 50 mins , From Gosford – 30 mins 

LENGTH: 2.4km return

AVERAGE TIME: 30min – 1hr 30min

Grass Tree Circuit ǀ 1.6km loop ǀ Dharug National Park

Short and easy, this loop is perfect for the whole family! The path is level, and will take you past rainforest, kookaburras, honeyeaters, and plenty of beautiful birds.

STARTING POINT: Mill Creek Picnic Area 

TIME TO GET THERE: From Wyong – 1hr 10mins , From Gosford – 1hr 

LENGTH: 1.6km loop

AVERAGE TIME: 30mins – 1hr

Patonga to Pearl Beach Walking Track ǀ 3km one way ǀ Brisbane Water National Park

This hike is a little bit challenging, but it’s worth it! You can wander under the beautiful red gums, stop for a swim at multiple points, and witness the most spectacular view on the Coast from Warrah lookout.

STARTING POINT: Patonga Beach 

TIME TO GET THERE: From Wyong – 50 mins , From Gosford – 35 mins 

LENGTH: 3km one way

AVERAGE TIME: 1hr 30mins – 2hrs
