Let’s sweat!

Pole Dancing I Peach Pole Studio I Tuggerah and Erina

Geez, we’ve been trying to get abs for at least two months. We’ve been doing crunches while watching the 6 o’clock news- and all we got out of it was boredom. Well, there’s a way to serious work your abs without pumping out two-hundred boring butterfly kicks. Pole dancing at Peach Pole Studio is not only epically fun, You can give it a try at Peach Pole Studio’s two locations – Tuggerah and Erina – where every person gets their own pole. And if you don’t believe us when we say that pole dancing will seriously tone you up – just google “pole dancers abs”…but maybe not on the work computer. That might lead to some interesting questions from your boss.

Indoor rock climbing I Kincumber Indoor Sports I Kincumber

Remember those days when you used to climb absolutely everything? Trees, rocks, bunk beds – you might have even tried to climb the kitchen cabinets to get that hidden cookie jar on top the fridge. Boy, those were the days! Well, relive those days with indoor rock climbing at Kincumber Indoor Sports! While we can’t promise that you’ll find grandmas delicious cookies hidden at the top of the wall, we can promise that rock-climbing will boost your heartrate, strengthen and tone your muscles, and increase your flexibility! And now that you’ve worked out, you actually deserve that cookie!

Roller skating fitness I Niagra Park Stadium I Niagara Park

It seems like every year there’s a new, trendy and awesome way to keep fit. In 2016, it was Aero Yoga. In 2017, it was trampoline fitness. And in 2018 is the year of Rollerfit! The fitness class sees participants strap on some skates and work every muscle in the body! The program is only two years old, and you’ll only find it in five select locations around Australia – one of them being our very own Niagara Park! The class is held at Niagara Park Stadium every Monday from 8pm to 9pm, and is open to all skill levels! Does the skill level “falls over every three seconds” count?

Indoor swimming I Peninsula Leisure Centre I Woy Woy

We’re pretty sure our swimmers haven’t seen the light of day since March. They’re tucked up the back of our cupboard with those jeans from high school we promised we would fit into again. But we’re definitely going to be pulling them out this week! No, we’re not going to be one of those people who does winter swimming in -5˚ temps – we’re going to dive into the heated pool at Peninsula Leisure Centre – cheesy swim cap and all!

Netball I Lake Haven Recreation Centre I Lake Haven

We’ve got to admit – it’s getting hard to reach that step goal in the winter. After coming home from the office, we’re not thinking about a walk in that cold winter air. In fact, we’re usually thinking about a good spag bol and Netflix. Well, what if we told you that you could get over 10,000 steps in just ONE HOUR and do it all indoors? Seems too good to be true, right? Well, did you know that a 60-minute game of netball will see you do an average of 9500 steps! Get your step count up at one of the netball social comps at Lake Haven Recreation Centre! Comps run at 9:30am on Tuesdays (school terms), and at 6pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
