5 beautiful cafes on the Central Coast

Brunch this weekend?

South End Social I Gosford CBD

Sure, the Village People might have told us to ‘go west!’ but trust us when we say it will be a lot more fun if you go south – all the way to South End Social! This chic spot is the new kid on the block having only opened this year, but it’s become a fast favourite for quick coffee fixes, delicious breakfast and express lunches. The menu boasts dishes like sweet potato Spanish omelettes, Korean fried chicken with garlic rice, charred red pepper salad, and much more. Check out the full menu here.

Munchas Café I Shelly Beach

At most cafes, the side dishes are usually pretty boring – soups, salads, and maybe a bread roll. Well, not at Munchas! Every meal at this cafe is served with a free side of ‘breath-taking views’! This classic beachside eatery is mere steps away from the sands of Shelly Beach, and offers up some of the best ocean views on the Coast! Here, you can tuck into dishes like choc berry pancakes and Mexican breakfast wraps as the sun rises, or head down at lunchtime to enjoy pulled pork burgers and Atlantic salmon salad in the sunshine! Check out the full menu here.

Tommy’s Café I Gosford Waterfront

Relaxation is an important part of looking after yourself. Some people do yoga, others meditate. However, we like to take a different approach… a more delicious approach. Tommy’s Café is the perfect place to wind down with its relaxed atmosphere, waterfront views and mouth-watering meals. Sit back and watch the water shimmer in the sunlight as you enjoy dishes like chilli scrambled eggs, brioche French toast, and baja Mexican bowls. Add in a delicious coffee or smoothie and we can feel ourselves relaxing already! Check out their full menu here.

Ooomph I East Gosford

Look, we’re going to be honest with you – you’re going to have a hard time making a choice at Ooomph. Not only are they a delicious café, but they’re also a pizza restaurant AND an artisan bakery. You’ll be faced with the tough decision between dishes like ricotta pancakes topped with honeycomb butter and vanilla bean gelato, big beef burgers loaded with maple smoked bacon and cheddar cheese, and lemon meringue tarts made with buttery layered croissant pastry. Or you could do what we’re going to do – order everything and slip into a food coma. Check them out here.

This Little Piggy I Point Clare

Be prepared to absolutely pig out at This Little Piggy in Point Clare! The menu at this all-day brunch spot has upgraded all your breakfast and lunch favourites, resulting in a whole new world of flavour. Here, you’ll find dishes like the ‘Big Hog’ – a chilli paste, prosciutto and cheese toastie topped with avocado and soft boiled eggs,  ‘Two Peas in the Pod’ – smashed avo with peas, goats fetta, beetroot relish and dukkah, and ‘A La Sweet Tooth’ – raspberry, pear and coconut bread topped with cream, fruit and maple syrup. We’re oinking at the sound of it! Check out their full menu here.
