1. The average age on the Central Coast is 42 years old
According to the 2016 ABS data, the median age of the people on the Central Coast is 41 years old. However, we have more people who at 50 to 59 years old than any other age group!
2. Only about 500 of us ride our bikes to work
While most of us climb into our cars to get to work, there are about 500 or so people out there on the Central Coast who are peddling their way to their desks every morning. This data comes from the 2015 ABS census.

3. A massive chunk of us do volunteer work
According to the 2016 ABS report, a whopping 17.1% of us put in our bit for the community. Most of us are doing around 5-14 hours per week, but there are some legends out there that are doing upwards of 30 hours per week!
4. A lot of us work in the health care sector
The industries of the highest levels of employment on the Central Coast are listed as ‘hospitals’ and ‘aged care residential services’, meaning that quite a few of us are in the business of helping others!
5. Most of our houses have 3 bedrooms
According to the 2016 ABS report, 40.7% of us own or rent houses with three bedrooms. This is closely followed by those who have 4 or more bedrooms at 34%! In comparison to the rest of NSW, the residents of the Central Coast seem to have more bedrooms per dwelling.
