3 min read

Time to break out the lycra!

Dust off the helmets and break out the lyrca because we’re going to explore some of the best cycling tracks right here on the Central Coast.

There are so many cycling tracks to choose from right the way from The Entrance to the Peninsula, so why not grab everybody in the family – Mum, Dad and the kids – and get out about and enjoy the sunshine.

Now, there is a purpose to this article. This week, it’s National Men’s Health Week and the theme for this week is Building a Healthy environment for men and boys, with the focus being on creating positive physical, mental and emotional environments for men and boys.

But they can’t do it alone, so, why not get the whole family involved and get everybody moving and today focus on the physical health of the men and boys in our lives thanks to Two Wheel Obsession.

We’ve found the best family-friendly cycle tracks right here on the Central Coast that can get Dad, Mum and the kids out altogether.

Kincumber to Davistown or Saratoga:

If you’re looking for an easy Sunday morning ride, then look no further than the Kincumber to Davistown or Saratoga cycling track. Passing through wetlands, around the Broadwater, and finishing up on Davistown Road, this path is flat and easy to ride on. If you’ve still got a little bit of fuel left in the tank, then you can keep riding into beautiful Saratoga.

Chittaway to The Entrance:

This 12km one-way track travels around the shores of Tuggerah Lake, from Chittaway Bay to The Entrance. The ‘Coast-to-Lake’ shared cycleway has plenty of highlights to stop along the way such as picnic areas, playgrounds and parks.

Gosford to Woy Woy:

Starting at Point Frederick’s Pioneer Park and finishing in Woy Woy, this ‘Point to Pelican’ ride will take you past some of the most spectacular views on the Brisbane Water Cycleway through Gosford, Point Clare and beyond. This 13.5km ride is designed to challenge you, but it’s not so hard you’ll be huffing and puffing for the entire thirteen kilometres.

Long Jetty Foreshore:

If you’re looking for an easy bike ride for the whole family, then look no further than the Long Jetty Foreshore. This bike ride is an easy, flat ride for the whole family featuring plenty of playgrounds and cafés to stop at along the way. We’re taking the Tuggerah Lake Cycleway Playground, the Long Jetty Foreshore Reserve Playground and so many more options.

Carawah Reserve Track:

If you’re looking for a hidden gem that is perfect for the kids, then look no further than Carawah Reserve Walk. The track features wooden boardwalks which weave in and out of the mangroves for a short 800m. There are plenty of things to see along the way with informative signs about the mangroves and surrounding nature reserves. If you’re looking for a longer cycling track, then you can extend it out to 2.8km by including the nearby Adcock Park Cycling Track.
