11km Walking Track I 11km loop I Dharug National Park

The 11km Walking Track is for those looking for a challenge! The steep trail follows a mountain ridge upwards into Dharug National Park, weaving past stunning landscapes with lush forest, trickling creeks and flourishing wild flowers. This heart-pumping trek can take anywhere from five to seven hours to complete, so make sure to start early and pack plenty of water! Find out more here.

 

Bouddi Coastal Walk ǀ 8.5km one way ǀ Bouddi National Park

Known as one of the most beautiful hikes in all of Australia, the Bouddi Coastal Walk follows the coastline between Putty Beach and MacMasters Beach through Bouddi National Park. The 8.5km (17km if you’re planning to do the return trip) mixed-terrain trail offers up spectacular ocean views as well as glimpses of hidden coves and secluded bays. A highlight of the walk is the spectacular rock formations and patterns formed by the areas constant exposure to rain. Find out more here.  

 

Mooney Mooney Nature Walk I 8.4km return I Brisbane Water National Park

Lace on your hiking boots and get ready for an unmissable hiking adventure! This 8.4km hike travels through the diverse landscapes of Brisbane Water National Park with the path taking you on a journey through lush rainforest, grassy woodlands and rugged rocky platforms. In the five hours it will take you to complete this trail, you’ll pass by breath-taking waterfalls, spectacular lookouts, amazing rock formations, and stunning displays of Australian flora! Bairne Walking Track ǀ 9.6km return ǀ Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park

So this hike isn’t exactly on the Central Coast, but it’s so beautiful we had to include it! Bairne Walking Track runs along the eastern ridgelines of Ku-ring-gai National Park, and offers up some of the best views of the regions waterways from its two lookouts. It’s northern lookout provides brilliant views of The Basin and the Pittwater river, while the southern outlook offers up spectacular visions of Towlers Bay. Find out more here.

 

The Great North Walk (Watagans) I 10km one way I Watagans National Park

Not for the faint of heart, the Watagans section of The Great North Walk is a ten kilometre trek best suited to experienced hikers. Part of the iconic bushwalk that runs from Sydney to Newcastle, this trail journeys through the northern section of the park where hikers will be treated to astonishing views from the nearby lookouts, lively birdlife, and amazing lush bushland.
