Let’s play!
Jimmy Jurd Playground I Chittaway Bay
The Jimmy Jurd Playground is an awesome pirate-themed playground with a touching story behind it. The site was built in memory of local toddler Jimmy Jurd who passed away in 2016 due to brain cancer, and whom was born on International Talk Like a Pirate Day! So, have a moment of silence for Jimmy, grab your eye patch, and have some fun at this new playground!
Vera’s Watergarden I The Entrance
Nestled on the foreshore near Memorial Park, Vera’s Watergarden is definitely a playground for the summer months. The shallow wading pool and bright water fountains make it a toddler’s dream! And with plenty of coffee spots nearby and free WIFI at the playground – it’ll be a parent’s dream too!

Avoca Beach Playground I Avoca Beach
Situated just behind the Avoca Beach Surf Club and steps from the sand, this fully fenced playground is perfect for kids of all ages. The awesome beach-themed equipment will be a hit with the kids and the soft sand ground will stop any scraped knees or bruised legs. How do we know that the sand is good cushioning, you may ask? Well, we’ve tripped over one to many times in this playground when running for the coffee cart – and there’s not a scratch on us!
Peninsula Recreation Precinct I Umina Beach
Look, it’s not right to play favourites amongst your kids. However, there’s no rule about playing favourites with playgrounds! The Peninsula Recreation Precinct is a massive playground with different equipment sections, a bike and scooter track, and even a dirt-bike track! And it doesn’t end there – the playground is fenced and shaded, has BBQ facilities, and is right next to the beach!
