Saturday 1st April at The Entertainment Grounds came alive once more with Star 104.5’s Toast the Coast, the premier food, wine and music festival for the Central Coast.
A Gosford City Rotary Club initiative, this community event hosts a wonderful range of food, beer, wine and cider. Festival goers were spoilt for choices as the Central Coast showcases what it has to offer. There was a wide variety of family friendly activities along with entertainment and cooking demonstrations through the whole day with the event featuring renowned Celebrity Cook & Author, our very own Julie Goodwin – Australia’s first MasterChef.
The event attracted around 9,000 people and raised over $55,000 in funds for Coast Shelters Domestic Violence Prevention, Protection and Education Programs. To learn more about Domestic Violence prevention and Coast Shelter click here.
Across the day local and regional restaurants served up their top two menu items as tasting plates for $5 and $10. With cooking demonstrations by Julie Goodwin, cheese making, and drink making demonstrations, fresh food, local produce, exotic and gourmet dishes, specialty foods, fine local and regional wines, ciders and beers, local artists and gallery displays and an exceptional music program and kids entertainment the day had something for everyone.
