Star 104.5's Central Coast Carols 2017

2 min read

Star 104.5’s Central Coast Carols moved venues to Central Coast Stadium on Thursday 21st December to raise a record amount in fundraising for the Cancer Council NSW. Despite intermittent rain thousands flocked to enjoy carols and entertainment by Damien Leith, Lah Lah’s Big Live Band, Jake Howden, Sarah Humphries, The Fields Project, and a a stellar line up of local acts.

Each year the event brings together our community to enjoy the amazing musical and performing talent that we have here on the Coast but also to engage the talents of local event managers, production crew, food providers, photographers and more. Each person joins us in the aim to raise money for the Cancer Council NSW to fund local services such as patient care, transport, education and advocacy. For the past 3 years Star 104.5’s Central Coast Carols has averaged crowds of 3,500 and raised around $20,000 each event. This year, with the support of some amazing sponsors, we were able to start the night from a cost neutral base with all ticket proceeds being donated to the cause; a total of $39,750.

Star 104.5’s Central Coast Carols would like to thank everyone that braved the rain, everyone that donated their time and to all our amazing sponsors. We will be back in 2018 so until then we wish you a Happy New Year.
