2 min read

All whale be alright.

Norah Head Lighthouse I Norah Head

If you’ve got one of those big fancy cameras, then this is definitely the time to pull it out. As of the most Eastern points on the Central Coast, this spot really lets you get up close and personal with the whales – and trust us when we say that no smartphone camera will be able to do these majestic beauties justice.

The Skillion I Terrigal

While you might not need to be an expert whale watcher to pay a visit to The Skillion, but you might need a good lung capacity to climb up all those stairs. But trust us on this, the stairs are totally worth it when you see a rare Orca breaching the water’s surface!

Crackneck Lookout I Wyrrabalong National Park

Located in Wrryabalong National Park near Bateau Bay, Crackneck Lookout is known as a prime sport to watch the whales put on a show. The views from the lookout stretch out over The Entrance, Shelly Beach, and of course the big blue ocean. At this lookout, you won’t need to crack your neck trying to see a whale!

Captain Cook Lookout I Copacabana

The views from the Captain Cook Lookout can sometimes be a little bit over-whale-ming. The stunning spot overlooks the Southern Pacific, meaning you’re sure to catch a glimpse of a pod making their mighty migration. If you start to freak out about how awesome the views are, just take a deep breath, and everything whale be alright.

Gerrin Point Lookout I Bouddi National Park

Only a short walk from Putty Beach. Gerrin Point Lookout offers panoramic views of Maitland Bay and beyond. Known as one of the best places to catch a glimpse of humpbacks jumping and minke whales splashing, you’re Gerrin-teed to catch an awesome display at this lookout.
