According to science, dogs get you dates

Grab the golden retriever!

We’ve all seen the movie – a dude adopts a dog to get the cute girl, and they run off into the sunset with a little poodle chasing behind them. We just thought it was some corny storyline to fill out the plot a little, but it turns out that this method really does work in real life.

New research suggests that those who have a pooch are seen to be more approachable, empathetic and happier.

Plus, it tends to show that they’re pretty good at keeping things alive which, according to experts, throws out some serious mating vibes.

This is all backed up by another study done by Match.com that found that owning a pet can be a huge turn on for those looking for love. 1/3 of respondents admitted to being more attracted to someone due to their furry friend.

So that’s why everyone has photos of their dog on Tinder!
