Good to know it wasn’t just one city freezing their butts off this weekend!
A lot of Australians woke up to the coldest day of the year, with the temperature dropping to just 1.2C in some parts of the country!
Yep, that’s right – Sydney was just 1.2C on Sunday morning, its coldest morning of the year with Sydney Olympic Park a frosty 1.2C at 6.30am. Gosford dropped to a freezing 1.3C at 5:30am, while Brisbane dropped to 5.2C for its coldest morning too.
It dropped to -9C for those in Glen Innes and -4C for Cessnock in NSW, Newscorp reports it was their coldest morning in 16 years.
Canberra was 11C, Adelaide 17C, Perth 18C, Hobart 12C and Melbourne 13C.
