Surprise, surprise!

We must admit, we were kind of surprised to see Bernard Tomic on  I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here this year – mostly because the tennis star apparently has SO much money, why does he need to go on a show that people only take part in for the cash?

On Monday night the bratty tennis star surprised precisely no one when he called it quits just two days into the competition.

Taking part in a Tucker Trial challenge, Bernard and Fiona O’Loughlin had to undertake an aerial obstacle course that saw him wearing a pair of goggles that made everything look like it was upside down.

Fiona was giving Tomic instructions on how to the get the stars they needed to win meals for their campmates, but he couldn’t do it.

“I’m really sick. I am about to vomit, I am out, I am so sick… I’ve never felt so ill before.”

He then uttered the famous words, “I’m a celebrity, get me out of here!” The tennis star is the first contestant to shout the words.

“I just wasn’t expecting all of this, you know. I am just not coping well. This is not the real world.”

“This is the jungle. This is so different. Not what I expected. I don’t think I can do it. I think it is best if I go.”

Host Dr Chris Brown and Julia Morris rushed to be by his side with Chris saying, “He started sweating off his skin way before he said ‘I’m a celebrity, get me out of here!'”

Bernard was asked to head back to camp and say his goodbyes, however, his teammates convinced him to stay for another day, which he said he’d consider and sleep on it. Reckon he’d last long if he stayed?
