Central Coast to celebrate McHappy Day this weekend

2 min read

Eat a burger. It’s for charity.

The much-loved McHappy Day is set to return to McDonalds across Central Coast this Saturday 16th November, with sixteen stores across the region taking part.

Held annually, McHappy Day is the main fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House Charities – a non-for-profit organisation that provides areas for seriously ill children and their families to relax, play and recover during treatment.

The charity aims to provide a place for families to stay together during hospital trips, offering both family rooms inside the hospital – including a family room in Gosford hospital – and houses close by.

Coming up on Saturday 16th November, McHappy Day is set to be a massive celebration on the Central Coast with stores from Lake Haven to Woy Woy joining in the event.

To raise funds, there will be Big Mac socks available for purchase as well as Big Mac Sauce bottles – a product that’s being brought out of retirement just for McHappy Day!

There will also be plenty of ways to donate with buckets around the restaurant and options to donate at the kiosks. People can also choose to round up their orders to the nearest dollar and donate the extra funds to the cause. Plus, $2 from every Big Mac sold on the day will also go to the charity too!

For those who won’t be able to make it to a Macca’s this Saturday 16th November, there’s also the option to donate online. You can choose to donate directly to the cause here or you can sponsor a specific local restaurant in their fundraising here!

Plus, 10c from every bottle of water sold at Macca’s will be donated to Ronald McDonald House all year round!

McHappy Day will be taking place at McDonald’s restaurants in:

  • Wadalba
  • Lake Haven
  • Wyong
  • F3 Southbound
  • F3 Northbound
  • Mingara
