This tiny town in South Australia is home to 316 people, and it located approximately 600km north of Adelaide. Oh, and one more thing – the average house prices is only $34,625. Wait, WHAT?! Yep, you heard us right. We found this two-bedroom house for sale on realestate.com.au for a measly $30,000!

Norseman is a small mining settlement in the Esperance region of Western Australia. The town has a tiny population of 600 people, and the median house price is only a little higher than Andamooka at $39,500! And, get this – you can get four bedrooms for that price! This four-bedroom house is only 350m from the town centre, and is on the market for $39,900.

Queenstown, TAS

Located in the West Coast region of Tasmania, Queenstown has a population of just under two-thousand people, and has always been a mining town. The average house price is $67,000 – almost $400,000 below the average Australian house price. On realestate.com.au, we found a cute five-bedroom (you heard us – FIVE!) cottage with two porches and a sauna for only $75,000.

Tucked away in the Isaac Region of Queensland, Dysart is a mining town that hosts the workers of the nearby coal mines. The average house price for this small town is $75,00! Plus, you can easily find a house for less than that – we found this two-story, three-bedroom home for $69,000!

Rosebery, TAS

Rosebery is a town located on the West Coast of Tasmania that has a population of around 6,000 people. As it’s another mining town (we’re starting to see a trend here), the housing prices are cheap with the average at $76,250! This beautiful two-bedroom house, complete with a stunning timber kitchen, is on the market at the moment for only $68,000!
