Consumers in NSW are being warned to check their eggs after up to 23 people contracted salmonella.
Australians, especially those located in the Sydney region, are advised to avoid Glendenning Farms eggs or to return the product to the place of purchase.
Eggz on the Run, the company who own Glendenning Farms, has issued a voluntary recall of their eggs, namely their “Glendenning Farms 12 Brownshell Eggs” with the best before dates of September 8th, 10th, 15th, 17th, 22nd, 24th, 29th, and October 1st.
The company is working with the NSW Food Authority and NSW Health to investigate the cause of the contamination.
Consumers can return the eggs to their retailer for a full refund. Proof of purchase is not required.
