Gosford Hospital parking fees to skyrocket by 458%

1 min read

Concessional prices will also increase.

Patients, visitors and workers at Gosford Hospital can expect to be out of pocket when they use the new multistorey car park with fees skyrocketing as much as 458%.

The $35.5 million car park is set to open in early next year, and the new parking pricing structure was revealed in an email sent to hospital staff.

The Central Coast Express Advocate reports that parking at the hospital for 15 to 1 hour will now set you back $6.70 – a 458% increase from the $1.20 price in 2018.

Staffs prices are also set to increase from $13.75 a week to $23.20 – an increase of $9.45 a week.

Concessional patients – who currently are now able to park for free – will only receive three hours free parking, after which they must pay $5.50 for a single visit ticket which entitles them to a single entry and exit.

The increase comes as parking management is taken over by private company SECURE.
