According to new research as reported in The Telegraph, eating a moderate amount of chocolate could lower the risk of heart disease by up to 13%. The study assessed approximately 575,000 individuals and found that three chocolate bars per month could cut the chances of cardiovascular issues by one-sixth!
Chocolate, especially dark chocolate, has been proven to lower cholesterol, prevent memory decline, and blood pressure.
However, this isn’t a green like to start loading Mars Bars into your trolley. It’s important to eat the treat in moderation as eating chocolate everyday can actually raise the risk of heart failure by 17%!
