In the words of many great scientists – just because we can, doesn’t mean we should. And we definitely think those words apply to the newest dessert product on the market.
A Scottish ice cream parlour debuted their newest creation on Instagram last week – mayonnaise ice cream.
Trust us, we’re cringing and gagging at the thought of it too.
This Scottish ice cream shop is known for pushing the envelope with flavours like Monster Energy and Strongbow Dark Fruit Cider, but this creation is completely dividing the internet.
There seems to be two reactions to the post. On one side, people are trying to hold onto their gag reflex.
‘I can’t tell y’all how upset I am about mayonnaise ice cream. The whole is cancelled’ on Twitter user wrote.
‘I found out someone made mayonnaise ice cream. All I got to say is just because we can doesn’t mean we should’ another vented.
On the other side, people are thinking about buying a plane ticket to give the ice cream a try.
‘It probably won’t taste that bad? It probably makes the ice cream super creamy and light instead of tasting like mayonnaise?’ one Twitter user wrote.
‘Don’t knock it till you try it’ another hopeful Twitter user responded.
The jury is definitely still out on this one.
