We can’t stop laughing.

We’re going to be honest here – when we’ve had a bit of a bad day, we’ll happily settle down to browse through every dog-centred Facebook page we can find. So, we completely understand the thought process behind these two kids who developed a ‘secret plan’ to convince their mother to buy them a puppy.

When mum and author, Emma Robinson, stumbled across an A4 piece of paper with the master plan to get a puppy, she was equal parts amused and impressed.

Robinson, who wrote the book The Undercover mother, found the scheme scribbled on paper that was left on the kitchen table, and posted pictures to her public Facebook page, Motherhood for Slackers.

The plan reads:

Get A Puppy

  1. Do all chores
  2. Give compliments
  3. Drop in randoms facts
  4. Post cute picture of dogs
  5. Put on Christmas list
  6. Trade in a sibling
  7. Get more fit
  8. Put cute pictures around the house
  9. Who’s the sucker?
  10. Make music video

Ask please can we have a dog

“They have been relentless in begging for a dog,” Robinson revealed, “My mum got a dog two years ago and it started then, but they have really picked up the pressure in the last six months.”

Now, the only question is: did they get a dog?
