Anonymous has released a video stating that NASA is “on the verge” of finding alien life
Today, in news that is equal parts exciting and terrifying, The Sun reports that hacking group Anonymous has claimed that NASA is close to proving that aliens are very much a thing and that an announcement regarding “evidence of alien life” is on its way.
The group shared a video on the alleged update to YouTube. In the video, they state that Professor Thomas Zurbuchen, the head of Nasa Science Mission Directorate, announced during a meeting of the US Science, Space and Technology committee that:
“Our civilisation is on the verge of discovering evidence of alien life in the cosmos.
“Taking into account all of the different activities and missions that are searching for alien life, we are on the verge of making one of the most profound, unprecedented discoveries in history.”
The (alleged) impending discovery comes shortly after NASA identified 219 “potential new worlds in our galaxy”. Reportedly, ten of those planets are similar to Earth, in that they are “rocky” and sit at a temperature that would allow life to exist, The Sunstates.
Fascinating stuff, right? The only question is: do we freak out or just keep on pretending like we’re not about to live out the plot of a sci-fi film…
