Palm beach ferry service to resume on Monday

1 min read

The service was halted in May.

The Palm Beach to Wagstaffe and Ettalong ferry service will resume on Monday 20th November, five months after it was halted due to a silted up Ettalong channel..

The service was halted back in May of this year after the channel was deemed to no longer be safe due to the rapid blockage of the area. Its pause saw the 3,800 commuters and passengers who used the service weekly searching for other alternatives of transport.

In order to clear the channel, the NSW Government funded dredging operations with ferries testing the now-cleared channel to ensure its safety.

The first service out of Wagstaffe will leave the doc at 5:50am and Ettalong at 6:00am. Ten services are scheduled to run across the day from each location.
