1 min read

This is touching.

A sweet moment during an AFL match in Queensland is going viral this Monday, with social media errupting with words of praise as a result.

Players and onlookers alike were deeply touched when Scott O’Donnell of the Hermit Park Tigers took a moment during a game to stop and tie the shoe lace of a disabled member of the opposing team, the Northern Beaches Suns.

The move was met with praise across both sides of the match and quickly gained a wave of attention online:

Barry Gibson posted the image to Twitter stating “Today our great game in @AFLQ was put into perspective when a young man with a disability playing in the Townsville reserves comp had his shoe laces tied by his opponent mid game. He also kicked a goal and both teams got around him

And to add to the whole moment, the gesture was followed by a goal made by the same Northern Beaches player, too.
