1 min read

Over 100 people have been affected.

A number of Red Rooster stores have suddenly shut their doors leaving over 100 fast-food workers without jobs.

Seven News reports the owner of Sunstate Foods Pty Ltd went into voluntary administration on Monday, shutting the doors of seven Red Rooster stores north of Brisbane.

The outlets include Buderim, Currimundi, Sunshine Plaza in Maroochydore, Noosa Civic Centre and Mary St, Noosa, and in Moreton Bay at Burpengary and Deception Bay, which failed to open yesterday.

The news outlet also reports employees only learned they were out of a job when they arrived for work on Tuesday morning.

According to the Courier Mail, administrator Robson Cotter Insolvency Group has confirmed there was no money available to keep the seven eateries running.
