Rumours of Caramilk returning to Aussie shelves

1 min read

It’s back.

The great Caramilk frenzy of 2018 saw shelves sold out, bulk buying restrictions imposed, and blocks of the golden chocolate sold online for more than ten times their original value.

And it could all be happening again in 2019 if recent rumours are correct.

Reports are circulating that the white chocolate caramel could be returning to Australian supermarkets with a source stating that the blocks could be hitting shelves before the end of August.

The source of the rumour is The Grocery Geek – an independent product review group – that revealed the information in a Facebook post and later reaffirmed their claims to multiple news outlets.

The man behind The Grocery Geek, Jamie, told news.com.au that his claim comes from a reliable source within Cadbury who tipped him off. The information from Cadbury was then confirmed to Jamie by multiple contacts within the grocery retail sector.

Cadbury is yet to confirm if Caramilk will be re-released on Australian shelves, however the company has been contacted for comment by multiple sources.
