Science proves dogs feel love when cuddling

1 min read

This is the best news.

They’re our best friends, our companions and sometimes our soul mates, but most of the time we still don’t know how they feel – until today.

Scientific studies have shown that our furry friends love to be cuddled. This is the sort of scientific research that we can really get behind.

The studies proved that when being snuggled by their owner, the oxytocin levels (otherwise known as the love hormone) sky rocketed!

Not only that, but the same study found that human oxytocin levels were boosted by whopping 300%!

“Mutual gazing had a profound effect on both the dogs and their owners. Of the duos that had spent the greatest amount of time looking into each other’s eyes, both male and female dogs experienced a 130% rise in oxytocin levels, and both male and female owners a 300% increase”. – How Dogs Stole Our Hearts

Who else is heading home for a snuggle?
