Hmm…

We’re seen some weird stuff on the Internet in our time (with like 80 per cent of them were on Insta) but this one?

Well, it takes the cake*.

Before heading to the big reveal, let’s have one last look shall we?

Think you’ve got it?

Drumroll please!

Bart Simpson drumroll

It’s a cake.

Crafted by Otchcakes, who specialise in making life-like cakes in the shape of the caesar salad, a packet of romaine lettuce and even a packet of raw mince.

To bring the caesar salad cake to life, Jennifer, the baker behind the brand, used real lettuce leaves to mould fake ones using food colouring, vodka and wafer paper.

Coloured fondant was then applied to coat a vanilla cake with buttercream and frozen cupcake was cut up to make croutons and grated ivory-dyed fondant for Parmesan cheese.

Jennifer told Nova that while the cakes appear perfect and like works of art, sometimes it took her a few tries to get right, especially as colour is so important:

“Some of my best cakes took several tries to get them looking just right!” she explained.

“You can have the most perfectly sculpted or shaped cake or edible decoration, but if the colors are not realistic that will give away your disguised cake right away.”

*And now you get that joke.
