He is SO deserving.

Aussie icon Steve Irwin will have a star dedicated to him on Hollywood Walk of Fame before a gala dinner celebrating his legacy.

“Steve’s Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is an incredible honour for our family. Steve would have been so chuffed. He was always such a proud Australian,” his beloved wife Terri has said in a statement.

“We will celebrate Steve’s legacy and continue to protect wildlife and wild places.”

The late Crocodile Hunter’s daughter Bindi, son Robert and wife Terri will be in attendance at the ceremony later this month, according to the Walk of Fame ceremonies producer Ana Martinez.

“People from around the world will always remember the animal whisperer Steve Irwin. He was a joy to be around and entertained all with his love and knowledge of the animal kingdom. The Hollywood Walk of Fame is thrilled to pay tribute to this exceptional man.”

The world went into morning on 4 September 2006, when the 44-year-old wildlife warrior was killed by a stingray on the Great Barrier Reef.
