The $10 million project was announced last year.
The Gosford waterfront redevelopment is one step closer with the final designs for the revamped area being released last week.
The Hunter and Central Coast Development Corporation (HCCDC) revealed the completed and finalised designs for the area that is currently Leagues Club Field.
The $10 million project will see the field transformed into a nature-inspired play space with walkways, picnic areas, BBQ facilities and an inclusive playground, along with the key feature of the redevelopment – a tidal pool with water play areas.
“A key feature of the park is the tidal terrace, a water-play zone which connects to Brisbane Water to rise and fall with the tide,” the HCCDC states on their website.
The HCCDC went on say that the redevelopment will be all inclusive, stating “we are creating a unique recreation destination that can be enjoyed by all, regardless of age and ability.”
Work on the field is set to commence between October and December of this year with construction continuing throughout 2020.
