For your one true love!
Cinemas
Ah, the old faithful date idea – the movies. It’s a classic outing, and never fails to be a good time. Although all the cinemas in our area are okay for a rom-com and a back row snuggle, we’d have to say the Avoca Beach Picture Theatre is the most romantic. With its cosy, old-world charm, a movie date in this picture theatre will make you feel like you’re in The Notebook.
Horse Riding
If you wish to say ‘neigh’ to traditional date ideas, saddle up for a Valentine’s Day adventure. The areas around the Central Coast are filled with areas to saddle up. We suggest a nice, relaxing two-hour trail ride, followed by a bite at a quaint, little roadside café.
Stay-cation
It’s a holiday – but without the stress. Instead of worrying about flights, luggage and kids, book into a cute little B’n’B or hotel on the Coast for the night. Kick back, order room service, and enjoy each other’s company – all without the kids fighting over the Xbox controller in the background.
Romantic Dinner
Nothing says romance like a candle lit dinner! It doesn’t matter if you dine at a fancy restaurant or at the old ‘ma and pa’ diner down the street, it’s all about laughing together, drinking together, and building a food baby together.
Sunset picnic
Roll out a blanket, pull out the wine and cheese, and watch the sky put on a beautiful show. It’s simple, inexpensive – but completely unforgettable. We recommend heading to Norah Head Lighthouse for the afternoon – there’s plenty of flat areas for a picnic blanket, and the sunset is amazing!
