Put down the bathrobe.
We’re all mature adults here – and we all know the best part of staying in a hotel (after the little pillow chocolates that is) is the free toiletries. Hell, we’ve hoarded more hotel toiletries than we can count.
But have you ever thought about taking other items form the room?
Well, before you go stuffing bath robes into your suitcase, let’s make sure no one’s doing anything illegal here!
So here is what you can and can’t take from a hotel:
Mini Toiletries
Go ahead and fill your makeup bag with mini shampoos because taking the mini toiletries is A-okay! Unfortunately, if you’re like us, they’ll just sit under the sink for a few years until the turn a weird yellow.
Umbrellas
Many of the more upmarket hotels provide umbrellas for their guests, and yep – it’s okay to take one as a souvenir. The branded brollies are great advertisement, and it tends to be pretty hard to track down any thief’s as the umbrellas are in the lobby for all to use.
Pillows
We all know how hard it is to find the perfect pillow – and unfortunately, sometimes the perfect pillow can come into your life in a hotel room. No matter how tempting your comfy pillow might be, stealing pillows will result in a hefty charge on your card.
Stationary
Geez, we can’t even count how many pens we’ve taken from hotel rooms – and thank god that hotels are completely fine with it. We’d be in debt right now if they charged us for them.
Bibles
As it turns out, we should be stealing MORE Bibles! According to reports, the Gideon’s who provide the Bibles want more people to take it in order to spread the word. Who knew?
