The new season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! will be gracing our screens on Sunday night and we could not be more keen.
We’ve scoured the internet for clues to find out who’ll be featuring this season and reckon we’ve narrowed a few down.
So who will head to South Africa? Here’s where we’re putting our money (in no particular order):
1. A pop sensation known only by their first name.
Pretty much everyone ’round the net belives this has to be Ricki-Lee. With fellow Australian Idol contestant Paulini and Delta Goodrem close runners up.
2. A television star. This loveable princess knows how to keep it real.
The phrase ‘television star’ is purposefully ambiguous but there’s rumours it could be Elyse Knowles from The Block.
3. An Australian stand-up queen. This queen of comedy has a lot to talk about and is sure to liven up the camp.
Many believe this to be Fiona O’Loughlin or Denise Scott. Other’s belive Claire Hooper or Magda Szubanski could be headed for the wilderness.
4. A tennis star. With zero contact with the outside world, daily food rations and no shelter from the elements, this world-famous tennis player will be at break point before they know it.
If it’s not Bernard Tomic there will be some red faces out there.
5. An iconic Australian comedian. This much-loved comedian married into one of Australia’s most famous families.
The hot goss is that Kath & Kim star Glenn Robbins could be headed to the jungle. Others believe it’s Eddie Perfect from Offspring or Ed Kavalee, married to taekwando champ Tiffiny Hall.
Other clues are:
Two celebrities in the middle of Australia’s biggest feud. This Australian duo are used to clashing in real life.
An AFL champion. This premiership-winning player is known for their hair-raising play.
An Australian rocker. This Australian legend has had album and single sales in excess of one million.
A world champion. This sporting superstar has a strong social conscience.
An iconic Australian actor. This famous Australian actor is ready for a tree change.
A best-selling author. This person has exposed many tabloid secrets over the years.
There are also some rumours that Fran Drescher aka Fran Fine from The Nanny could be appearing on the show. A source told The Daily Telegraph, “Fran Drescher ticks all the boxes. She is a bullseye, if you like.”
Julia Morris, co-hosting the series with The Living Room’s Dr. Chris Brown, addressed the rumours:
“I look at Instagram and I see what everyone’s suggestions are,” she said.
“There are some names that are definitely out there floating around… There are others that people are going to be like ‘Are you kidding me?’.”
