This weekend sorted!

See the best views on the Coast

Up in the crisp and clean air, take in glorious views from two of the best lookouts near the Central Coast –The Narrow Place and Monkey Face! The Narrow Place was created as a narrow track to lead horses along, but there’s no horsing around to visit this stunning scenery. Meanwhile, the Monkey Face lookout offers one of the best vantage points in the park, with stunning, sweeping views across the Martinsville Valley. So, grab your camera and pull your best monkey face!

Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life

Say goodbye to phone calls, and hello to bird calls in the campgrounds at the Watagans National Park. Pitch your tent in one of two campgrounds, light a fire, and roast some marshmallows. You won’t have to worry about being kept up by traffic or your loud upstairs neighbours, because in these tranquil and secluded spots you’ll be serenaded into a deep slumber by cooing owls and the gentle sway of the trees. Sayonara stress!

Cycle and hike the day away

Explore one of the many walking and cycling tracks that weave throughout this national park. With tracks ranging from thirty minutes long to three days long, there’s something for everyone! Bring your phone or digital camera (or disposable camera if that’s your style) because these walks will take you past rivers, streams, rock pools, lookouts and stunning flora! Plus, if you want to avoid those pesky blisters, read how to avoid them with a simple shoelace trick!

Picnic it up

Why munch on your egg and lettuce sandwich on your lounge when you could be chowing it down with one of the most beautiful national parks as your backdrop! Our personal favourite is The Pines Picnic Area – a area reminiscent of a Canadian forest – that is perfect for a barbeque and a picnic. The area is also connected to a multitude of walking tracks, so you can burn some calories (and make room for more food)!
