Let’s get ACTIVE!

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at hockey? Test out your skills at skating? Or have a go at golf? Well, guess what? You can try all those sports and dozens more at SportsFest!

Held this Saturday and Sunday at EDSACC Oval in Bateau Bay, SportsFest is an awesome festival that celebrates all things active and gives Coasties the opportunity to try their hand at new sports or find new ways to get active.

Created by the Central Coast Council, the two-day event sees dozens of sporting organisations and clubs from across the region come together to offer free come ‘n’ try sessions as well as demonstrations and information on getting involved.

You can test out heaps of different sports such as hockey, basketball, martial arts, squash, motorcycling and dozens more – all completely free!

Sports for all ages and fitness levels will be on offer as well as all-inclusive options with SENSEational Soccer, Walking Basketball and Wheelchair Motorcross exhibiting at the event.

There’ll also be a charity drive for all of pre-loved sports goods! All donations will go to those in the local community who may not be able to play the sports they love due to lack of funds or resources to purchase equipment. Goods such as rackets, balls, protective gear, and so much more are accepted

Donations can be made on both days at SportsFest.

This awesome event will run this Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm each day! Find out more about the event by checking out the Facebook page here
