Smartphone users are being urged to update their systems right now to prevent hackers from stealing their personal messages, photos and data.
A flaw affecting Bluetooth capabilities is leaving people at risk of sharing their information with strangers according to Carnegie Mellon’s Computer Emergency Response Team. It seems as though Apple, Google and Intel users are all at risk.
Carnegie said if users didn’t update their systems their door would be effectively left open for hackers.
Phone companies have been scrambling to create updates to the Bluetooth drivers and it’s recommended everyone act early to ensure their personal info didn’t get stolen.
