Petrol prices have been fluctuating a lot lately and drivers are again being urged to fill up now.
Servos are tipped to jack up prices by as much as 50 cents a litre over the coming days, if they haven’t already done so already.
The message is to shop around to reduce your fuel bill using websites like motormouth.com.au and petrolspy.com.au.
Channel 7 has done the comparisons this morning and found in Sydney, the cheapest fuel is $1.24 a litre with the highest at $1.74.
Peter Khoury from NRMA acknowledges the massive gap in price, is due to varying strategy by service stations. He’s told 7News some prioritise profit margins, meaning they set higher prices, while cheaper petrol stations prioritise price competitiveness.
